The Opportunity
The Education in Emergencies (EiE) Coordinator will be the lead contributor to for the overall implementation of the Education in Emergencies Program in Hatay province working closely with EiE Manager. This will include implementing EiE activities as per the Detailed Implementation Plans in targeted locations and having close interaction with staffs and partners on the ground.
The EiE Coordinator will work with a number of education partners including authorities and schools as well as other implementing partners (local and international NGOs), working closely with the EiE Manager. S/he is responsible for day-to-day delivery and monitoring of EiE activities.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
- First degree in education or equivalent in development studies.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a corporate or NGO environment, preferably with experience in pre-primary and primary education and community-based child development and Education projects..
- Developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching.
- Developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
- Experience of coordinating EiE/education programmes that aim at improving children learning achievements.
- Ability to present complex information in a succinct and compelling manner
- Fluency in English and Turkish, both verbal and written, required
- Commitment to Save the Children values.
- Women candidates are encouraged.
- Familiarity with the context of Hatay
- Arabic language skills are desired.
Position holder will be based in Hatay or Gaziantep or Hatay, therefore legal right to work in Turkey is necessary at the time of application.
