Social Development International SDI is a non-profit NGO established in 2015 and daily registered in Turkey, which provides humanitarian assistance to affected people in Syria. SDI services are covering northern Syria areas through its programs which are SNFIs, health, nutrition, education, WASH, protection, FSL, and CCCM—currently looking for an HR Intern.

Jobtitle: HR Intern

Location:Istanbul– Türkiye

Main responsibilities and tasks:

Tasks will primarily include but not be limited to:

  • Follow up and archive all documents related to the HR Department.
  • Follow up on personnel affairs.
  • Ensure all Syria and Turkey employees sign all needed documents and policies.
  • Keep track of leave time for employees, such as Administrative, personal, and excused absence leaves.
  • Assist in recruitment processes in Turkey and Syria offices as requested.
  • Participate in HR meetings or any other assigned meetings when necessary.
  • Provide all needed documents and reports for several stakeholders.

Minimum Education, Qualifications & Experience Required:

Education

University degree, preferably in a related subject such as Management Studies / Development / Business Administration or in a related technical subject. OR applicants must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or be pursuing an advanced university degree.

Languages

  • Good knowledge of English and Turkish.
  • Arabic language required.

Professional experience & Personal requirements:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
  • High communication skills.
  • Time-Management skills.
  • Adaptable, self-motivated, and willing to learn and take on extra duties as required.
  • Have the Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective working relations with staff, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to take the initiative and work autonomously.
  • Ability to achieve results effectively, considering the need for speed, scale, and quality.
