General Description of the Organization:
Orange is a non-governmental civil society organization devoted to alleviating suffering and improving the sustainability mechanisms of the conflict-affected population.
Since its establishment in 2016, Orange partners directly with affected Syrian populations delivering programmes spanning sectors, including humanitarian and development programmes, in the Early Recovery, Food Security, Agriculture, Livelihoods, Education, and Protection, in addition to long-term impact interventions focusing on the economic empowerment and the local value chains improvements to enable targeted communities to improve their living practices and their sustainable mechanisms.
Orange collaborates with a variety of national and international non-governmental organizations, as well as local initiatives, to adopt a community-based approach that leads to improving the response’s impact to the humanitarian crisis, and provides sustainable and alternative solutions.
About the project:
Under the scope of livelihood and economic empowerment activities and facilitating the labor market for Syrians under temporary protection and other refugees in Turkey, as well as supporting local markets profitability, the project aims to provide small businesses support via provision of trainings, know how and productive asset support to vulnerable community members, in the aim of providing sustainable businesses and facilitating access to labor market in Bursa.
Duties, objectives, and competencies:
- Participate in the development of project detailed implementation plan in collaboration with the livelihoods officer and coordinator.
- Follow up with logistical and administrative needs off the livelihood center.
- Ensure continuous flow of equipment and supplies to the livelihood center in collaboration with orange operations team.
- Provide basic asset management for the equipment and materials and the livelihood center.
- In collaboration with the livelihoods officer, support the initiation, selection, reception, and distribution of the procured materials and productive assets.
- Maintain records of all materials and assets procured both electronically and in hard copies.
- Support the livelihoods coordinators reporting requirements via provision of relevant data in a timely manner.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by a line supervisor.
Requirements:
- Business administration, Economics, logistics, or relevant field of study.
- At least two years of proven work experience in operational logistics or procurements roles.
- Strong communication skills, negotiation skills & emotional stability.
- Good reporting skills;
- Good analytical skills
- Good computer skills, including MS office.
- Fluency in Arabic and good Turkish language skills (spoken, written, and reading) in English will be an asset.
