The Opportunity

The post will lead a 14-months consortium project that focuses on provision of safe temporary settlement(shelter), child protection/MHPSS, Education in Emergency (EiE), and life skill for youth and adolescents for the earthquake-affected community and children in Hatay. The Project Manager will be the principal representative of the project and have leadership responsibility for the overall management of the award, which is implemented with other 2 NGOs as a consortium project. S/he will provide strategic, operational and technical leadership to successful implementation of high quality, in coordination with other stakeholders. The Project Manager will ensure adherence to overall technical and programmatic quality in implementation, compliance with donor rules and regulations, and the timely submission of all deliverables, including work plans, budget forecasts, performance monitoring plans, and reports as required. The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall direction and coordination of the activities under the agreement in coordination with the project team. S/he will be expected to conduct regular visits to other programme locations.

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

At least 5 years of demonstrable experience in project management in NGOs and/or INGOs
Experience in managing projects with international donors
Excellent Interpersonal skills to influence and guide staff and partners in identifying programming opportunities and resolving programme challenges.
Commitment to the values and mission of Save the Children.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Fluency in English and Turkish required.
Demonstrated skills in program planning, and all aspects of project management.
Demonstrated skills in leadership and supervision of staff and in building and maintaining a high performing team.
Ability to analyze information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically.
Ability to adapt to different, often stressful circumstances.
Ability to write clear and well-argued assessment and project reports.
Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy.
Experience in promoting children's rights and gender, including participation in programming, design, implementation and evaluation.
Experience and knowledge of child protection/ education or camp management projects are highly desired.
Demonstrable experience engaging with national stakeholders and partners is highly desired.
Demonstrable experience in building capacity of local NGOs, and government bodies and collaborating closely with multi-level stakeholders is highly desired.

Position holder will be based in Hatay, therefore legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application.
