Role Purpose:

The project manager will manage the implementation of activities related to the WASH, follow up the implementation of construction activities, ensure the implementation of project activities according to the work plan and with the required quality, distribute and follow up the tasks of project staff in Syria, and writing the necessary project reports, in addition, to provide the necessary support for the WASH program.

Functional and organizational relationships:

Assist the project manager e for managing and delivering project activities and budget, timely reporting, and monitoring and evaluating project achievements. The program assistant reports directly to the program Manager and is accountable to the Program Manager for the effective performance of all responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

-Preparing documentation for grants
-Typing letters and reports as may be required from time to time
-Assisting in the planning and overseeing significant projects activities and new grants
-Assisting in managing the budget for projects activities and new grants
-Acting as a liaison between different departments within IHR (Finance, Grants, Procurement and HR).
-Organize, compile and process information from the donor as well as from the programme team, and keep track of the -information through databases and e-filing.
-Assisting in the preparation of oral presentations, reports, and peer reviewed publications, including graphics and charts.
-Attending internal and external meetings on subjects of particular interest to IHR.
-Maintain and organize up-to-date hard and electronic files for easy access and retrieval.
-Create and maintain files of correspondence/documents and electronically received information and ensure up-to- date filing.
-Maintain both hardcopies and electronic copies of the office records and reference files on various subjects.
-Provide administrative support to the programme team in the organization of events, meetings and workshops, etc.
-Assists in the development of program evaluation tools, techniques, and methods.
-Participation in the training for the operations/ projects staff on programme. Contributions to knowledge networks and communities of practice.

Qualification (education/work experience)

-University degree (or equivalent) in Business or Public Administration or related fields is an asset.
-Experience: 1 years of progressively responsible experience with administrative and programmatic tasks with NGOs.
-Experience in working in a computer environment using multiple office software packages.
-Work experience in administrative support of development programmes/projects is an advantage.
-Work experience within the humanitarian field is an asset.
-Advanced level in English is required

- He/She has good knowledge of protection projects (child protection, gender-based violence - etc.)
- He/She has a good knowledge of awareness-raising activities
- He/She has good knowledge of following up on case management activities and psychological support activities.
- He/ She has good experience organizing work schedules and supervising teams.

Desirable:

-Turkish citizenship or a valid residency.

-Experience in implementing construction projects and solar energy systems.

-Experience writing proposals and preparing budgets.

-Certificate in Project Management PMD Pro1.
