Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international independent medical humanitarian organization.

For the current project based in Hebron (Palestine), MSF is looking for a Field Coordinator.

The Field Coordinator is responsible for MSF's operational response in the Project in its locations and others locations if the project expands its activities.

Working in close collaboration with the capital team, the Field Coordinator:

  • Defines and plans the project objectives and priorities;

  • Identifies the population’s health and humanitarian needs

  • Analyses the context and the humanitarian issues at stake

  • As well as the risks and constraints and calculating human and financial needs.

S/he coordinates, in close collaboration with the Head of Mission, the project implementation in order to efficiently ensure the goals, as well as to improve the targeted population’s health conditions and humanitarian situation.

The focus of his/her work will be the implementation of the activities, management of the team as well as all the project areas: • Security and safety • Networking, context analysis and representation • General project management • HR management • Logistics Management • Financial Management • Reporting

S/he is responsible of the security of the team.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Completion of a relevant university degree is highly desirable (Economics, General Management, International Relations, Political Sciences, Sociology, Anthropology etc.)
A Master degree in Project Management, HR Management or Humanitarian aid will be an asset.

Experience: • A solid experience in management (team and projects) is a requirement;
• Essential, working experience in developing countries, in a relevant or similar role.
• Essential experience in Humanitarian aid organizations.
• Field experience with MSF is desirable, as is experience in managing security and working in emergency interventions

Languages: Fluency in English is essential. Arabic language skills are desirable. Knowledge: Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet) Competencies: Team management, Leadership, Cross cultural awareness, Networking
