Roles and responsibilities

  • Management and supervision WASH program and assigned projects to meet and achieve effective and successful deliverables of the program.
  • processing and setting program plans (Detailed implementation plans, Procurement plans, HR plans, spending plans...etc)
  • Ensure effective implementation of the program interventions in compliance with contractual obligations including all partner/donor policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
  • Create strategic development plans of the WASH program in coordination with supporting departments and Programs Director.
  • Quality control of program implementation Relevance based on the relevant international criteria as CHS, CaLP.
  • Maintain positive and developed relationship with WASH cluster and all coordination bodies.
  • Effective management of program team in Turkey and Syria
  • Ensure proper documentation and compilation of program data according to a clear and officially approved archiving mechanism
  • Maintain proper and effective communication with partners, donors, and back donors in addition to represent ATAA association in all official and ad-hoc meetings in coordination with the program team.
  • Ensure all internal and external narrative and financial reports (weekly, monthly, interim and final) are submitted within agreed timeframes to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure that risks are appropriately managed, including financial, safety, security, programmatic and reputational risks

  • Ensure integration with other programs (sectors) in the services provided within the projects to enhance the integration approach of ATAA

  • Create a reference library of sources for technical standard and guidelines for the program
  • Work closely with MEAL department to develop appropriate tools for projects within his sector
  • Work closely with the Programs Director to write, develop and present MOUs and proposals that comply with the high standards of the sector as well as the rules and regulations of the donor/partner
  • Actively search for new financing opportunities in coordination with Programs director and Partnerships program
  • Carrying out the performance evaluation of the program team according to the official forms, in coordination with human resources
  • Full commitment to the protection from sexual exploitation and abuse, child safeguarding, protection from harassment in work place and all safeguarding policies and procedures at ATAA.

Qualifications and experience

  • Preferred Master’s degree, Bachelor Degree is essential in related sector, Engineering (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electric Engineering, Environment Engineering), organizational management, or International Development. Significant relevant work experience in these specific areas will be considered as an added value.
  • High knowledge of Financial Management and contract management, strategic planning experience in WASH sectors, proven experience in the development of WASH proposals, and WASH projects management, organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management approach. Good leadership and supervisory skills to motivate and inspire operations team.
  • 5 years in the humanitarian sector - 3 years in program management

  • English language: Fluent – Turkish Language is a plus
