The Opportunity
To provide regular technical supervision, training, and coaching to Child Protection and other sector staff and partners delivering CP interventions for earthquake-affected and other vulnerable children and families; to adapt and contextualise evidence-based CP training and intervention packages, in collaboration with the CP & MHPSS Technical Advisors and Regional CP and MHPSS Advisors, and in line with global and regional standards and guidelines, whilst ensuring their relevance to the needs in each program location; and to ensure compliance with good practice standards and SOPs in programme implementation, monitoring and reporting.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
Essential
- Advanced degree in Social Work, Social Studies, Psychology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in a similar capacity.
- Work experience in humanitarian emergencies.
- Proven capacity to train, supervise, and coach staff in CP technical skills and coordination, based on evidence-based approaches and intervention packages
- Sound knowledge of Child Protection Minimum Standards, human rights, and protection in humanitarian contexts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within different cultural environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
- Fluency in Turkish and English
- Commitment to Save the Children values and Child Safeguarding.
Desired
- Experience working with disaster-affected communities as well as other vulnerable children and families.
Position holder will be roving across earthquake affected locations, therefore legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application.
