Protection Consultant (Service Provider)

Project and Organization Background:

Olive Branch is a non-profit humanitarian organization registered in Turkey. We collaborate with various international agencies to address the needs of vulnerable populations. Our work focuses on education, protection, livelihoods, and empowering women and youth. With our dedicated on-the-ground team and headquarters in Gaziantep, Turkey, we have successfully implemented numerous humanitarian projects in Syria and Turkey. We receive funding and support from individual donors and local and international NGO partners.

Job Description:

We are seeking a company or organization registered in Turkey to provide a qualified Consultant who will be responsible for the following tasks:

  1. Designing the training curriculum in consultation with the project team. The curriculum should be finalized before the commencement of training sessions.
  2. Leading, developing, and implementing the protection program.
  3. Providing guidance, technical support, and mentoring to the protection team.
  4. Develop the protection program policies and TORs.
  5. Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based protection interventions, including case management, psychosocial support, social support, and community-based protection mechanisms.
  6. Coordinating with other sectors such as health and education to ensure a comprehensive and integrated response for children affected by the crisis.
  7. Monitoring and evaluating the protection program, collecting and analyzing data to inform program improvements.
  8. Representing the protection program in coordination meetings with humanitarian actors, government officials, and donor agencies.
  9. Ensuring compliance with protection standards, including minimum standards for protection in humanitarian work and common guidelines for case management and child protection across agencies.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this contract, the applying training company or organization should meet the following criteria:

  1. Possession of a Psychology university degree or equivalent license.
  2. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the field of Protection.
  3. Excellent communication and teaching skills.
  4. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  5. Demonstrated track record in social research.
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills in Arabic. Proficiency in English and/or Turkish is an additional advantage.

Skills and Assets:

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and assets:

  1. Psychology university degree or equivalent license.
  2. Strong administration, organizational, and time management skills.
  3. Proficiency in teamwork and participatory processes.
  4. Knowledge of international laws, rules, and principles, as well as an understanding of the operating environment.

Remuneration:
The remuneration for this contract will be commensurate with the qualifications and market rates. It will include tax, social security, health insurance, and stamp duty as per Turkish law.

A training company or organization registered in Turkey and able to provide invoices for the provided consulting services will be contracted.
