The Opportunity
The WASH PM will be expected to lead on sectorial assessment, project planning, coordination, and support fundraising, recruitment and procurement, across the Türkiye Country Programme. The post holder will be mentor and/or capacity building existing country programme staff.
In order to be successful you will bring/have:
Essential
* Minimum 3 year experience of working internationally in WASH-related humanitarian programmes
* Education to BSc/BA/BEng level in Public Health, Water Engineering, or a related subject, or equivalent field experience
* Previous experience of managing a WASH team particularly remote management and conflict affected context.
* Previous experience of WASH project management, implementing WASH projects within agreed timescales and budget limitations including cross border and remote implementation
* Experience of and commitment to working through systems of community participation and accountability in a WASH context
* Experience in remote monitoring and evaluation of WASH needs and activities
* Experience of training and capacity building WASH staff
* Knowledge of institutional donors and experience of developing proposals
* Ability to write clear and well-argued assessment and project reports
* Excellent communication skills
* Strong influencing skills
* Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy
* A high level of written and spoken English
* The capacity and willingness to be extremely flexible and accommodating in difficult and sometimes insecure working circumstances.
Position holder will be based in Hatay, therefore legal right to work in Turkey is necessary at the time of application.
