Job Description Details:
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Web Developer who will be instrumental in maintaining and updating our WordPress website, managing our cloud infrastructure, and developing tech solutions for our fundraising department. The successful candidate will have a robust understanding of various cloud services and their application in a non-profit setting, with a focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities:
- Web Development and Maintenance: Take charge of maintaining and updating a custom WordPress theme for our organization's website to ensure its functionality, accessibility, and user-friendliness.
- Cloud Management: Oversee and optimize our AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, RDS, Amazon SES, with flexibility to utilize other cloud services such as Microsoft Azure when needed.
- SEO Optimization: Apply expert understanding of Technical SEO to enhance our website's visibility, boost organic traffic, and improve the user experience. This includes but is not limited to schema markup, site speed optimization, XML sitemaps, robots.txt files, etc.
- Email Marketing Design: Develop and implement attractive and effective email marketing templates for fundraising emails that adhere to our brand guidelines and promote donor engagement.
- Integration Management: Streamline and optimize the integration between different services to enhance functionality and user experience.
- Tech-Stack Operation and Improvement: Operate and continually enhance the tech-stack for the fundraising department, aiming for efficiency, security, and optimal performance.
- Innovation: Proactively suggest new tools and strategies to bolster our digital fundraising efforts, contributing to the sustainability and expansion of our work.
- Technical Liaison: Serve as a technical focal point between Bonyan's fundraising department and stakeholders, coordinating efforts to continually improve our tech stack and digital operations.
- Other Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned, adapting to new challenges that may arise in our dynamic non-profit environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Web Developer or similar role.
- Knowledge of WordPress, AWS, Microsoft Azure, and other relevant technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to design appealing email templates.
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to adapt to changing needs and challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, able to liaise effectively between different stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the non-profit sector is a plus.
