Organizing and managing the organization’s relations with the media through Press releases, conferences, and advocacy campaigns, Supervising the organization’s messages through managing and developing social media accounts to match the union’s media policy, as well as responsible for creating content, managing the website, and raising the quality of media content This is done by adopting the best principles of digital marketing, which ensures improving the search engines optimization and increasing visits, interactions, and engagements to them. Collecting news and materials from the marketing team within the mission and coordinating with the media team at the principal office of the Media Committee to unify the media discourse issued by the federation through various communication channels, whether it is local or international media or social media in addition to participating in the advocacy of the issues adopted by the Foundation through all possible methods and channels of advocacy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work to increase the visibility of UOSSM in the media and advocate for its causes in which it believes in its areas of intervention.
  • Representing the mission in all coordination meetings concerned with communication, information, or advocacy.
  • Managing the institution's relations with the local and international media that are interested in the Syrian issue.
  • Checking the validity of the information, adjusting the elements of the media materials in accordance with the media policy (on the website and the social media pages)
  • Drafting press releases according to the occasions written for them.
  • Managing press conferences and advocacy campaigns to be prepared for.
  • Manage the monthly newsletter.
  • Developing work processes and strategies.
  • Press interviews for union cadres whose content must be regulated according to media policy.
  • Overseeing the management of media content via social media in line with the mission's marketing messages.
  • Develop and implement SEO and PPC strategies.
  • Create, Develop, and manage link-building strategies, content marketing strategies, and social media presence.
  • Innovate and present new marketing platforms and strategies
  • Develop engaging online content including clickbait, forums, videos, graphics, and blogs; monitor and analyze content success
  • Forecast marketing campaign growth and ROI for marketing campaigns
  • Manage email and social media marketing campaigns
  • Contact graphic designers, web designers, and videographers to create unique and engaging content
  • Use Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and other relevant sites
  • Drive traffic to company pages
  • Keep abreast of new social media sites, web technologies, and digital marketing trends; implement these new technologies in developing campaigns and update current campaigns to include new information
  • Reviewing and analyzing platform sites for areas that can be improved and optimized
  • Identifying powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic
  • Filling websites and other content with effective keywords
  • Running PPC campaigns
  • Writing powerful calls-to-action (CAT) to convert visitors
  • Analyzing keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors
  • Keeping updated on both white hat and black hat SEO strategies to avoid staying within search engine guidelines
  • Compiling and presenting SEO guidelines
  • Preparing detailed strategy reports

Digital Marketing Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred in Advertising, Marketing, public communication or media, 3 Years of Experience in Digital Marketing, media and advocacy
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Editing, Self-Motivated, Strong Leadership Skills
  • Working knowledge of search engine optimization practices
  • Outstanding ability to think creatively and strategically and identify and resolve problems
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Familiarization with Google Analytics
  • Experience with website optimization tools / Social media
  • Experience with social media platforms
  • Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
  • Languages:
  1. Arabic C1,C2
  2. English C1,C2
  • MS Office: Advanced
  • Turkish nationality Or resident permit is required
