Background:
Within the development projects that ACU is working on, the value chain support project is being implemented in northwestern Syria. As a preliminary project, work will be done to conduct an analysis of the local market and select one of the important value chains to be strengthened and governed and to increase networking among its stakeholders.
Accordingly, the role of the technical expert will be to directly supervise the design of the tools, analyse the results and issue the necessary reports under direct supervision from the project manager.
Objectives:
- The Solar System Value Chain has a clear vision, strategies, procedures, policies, and guidelines.
- The SSVC’s stakeholders' networking has been increased.
Key Responsibilities
Main deliverables:
Stakeholders Mapping, Stakeholders Analysis, Gap Identify, Supply Chain Analysis, Business Model, Business Networking Mechanism (ToR, Organizal Structure, and Communication plan)).
Main Tasks
- Design all tools required to achieve deliverables.
- Train the two facilitators on adopted tools.
- Manage and supervise workshops and dialogue sessions.
- Analyse data extracted from workshops and dialogue sessions.
- Issue the final deliverables in the form of written and formal documents.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)
- S/he shall have a Master in Business administration / Strategic Planning or any other related field.
- S/he should have a minimum of ten (10) years of professional academic experience, including at least 7 years of experience in strategic planning and capacity development.
- Substantial/relevant professional proven experience in working in strategic planning/designing SPOs, policies, and guidelines, especially related to NGOs or the private sector.
- Good understanding of the Syrian context and knowledge of local market conditions.
- Experience in training and drafting workshops and other materials required.
- Experience in preparation and leading strategic planning and developing workshops and discussions.
