About Horan Foundation

HORAN FOUNDATION is a Syrian-focused non-profit organization working in Syria and countries of asylum with no discrimination. Through emergency interventions, meeting their basic needs, and implementing highly competent community development programs.
HORAN FOUNDATION was established with the escalation of the Syrian crisis at the beginning of 2012 in Jordan and registered in Turkey in 2014 and Switzerland in 2016, where it started as a group of friends to provide emergency humanitarian assistance in Daraa and its countryside. Since then, HORAN FOUNDATION has developed to become one of the largest organizations supporting the Syrian people, through the implementation of 350 projects that helped the lives of more than 10 million beneficiaries throughout the Syrian territory and neighboring countries asylum, and also contributed to the establishment of the Platform of Syrian Associations (Minber Suriye), one of the most important coordination platforms for humanitarian workers in the Syrian affairs. It has a membership of the NGO Forum and membership in Syrian Networks and membership in the Forum for the Voice of the Displaced Syrians.

Overall Purpose:

The Engineer Assistant plays a crucial supporting role in engineering projects, providing assistance to engineers and project teams. With a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience, this role involves collaborating with engineers, performing technical tasks, and contributing to the successful execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

· Technical Support:

- Assist engineers in performing technical tasks, calculations, and analyses.

- Help with the preparation and review of engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.

- Conduct research and gather data relevant to project requirements.

· Documentation:

- Maintain accurate project documentation, including records of design changes, project reports, and meeting minutes.

- Organize and manage project files, drawings, and documentation for easy retrieval.

· Project Coordination:

- Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure project objectives and deadlines are met.

- Assist in coordinating project activities, schedules, and resources.

· Quality Control:

- Participate in quality control processes by conducting inspections, tests, and measurements.

- Identify and report any discrepancies or issues in project work.

· Communication:

- Facilitate communication within the engineering team and with external stakeholders.

- Assist in preparing and delivering project updates and progress reports.

· Research and Development:

- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

- Assist in research and development efforts aimed at improving engineering processes and products.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.

- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.

- Proficiency in engineering software and tools.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.

- Adherence to safety protocols and practices.
