Job Purpose:

He/She will be responsible for following up on pss protection activities in the community center and referral pathway and support the pss workers

Key Responsibilities

- The PSS Team Leader is responsible for the overall supervision and coordination of the psychosocial support activities aimed at enhancing the psychosocial well-being.

- Manage and supervise PSS worker in all the areas of implementation, and providing them with regular support.

- Following on conducting PSS activities

- Ensure that the CSG policy is implemented throughout the project activities.

- Regular supervision of activities progress and ensure that activities are technically sound and implemented in a timely, safe, and efficient manner, in accordance with the project work plan.

- Identify and refer cases with the support of the project manager and technical advisors that require specialized mental health or psychosocial support to appropriate facilities.

- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- Respect and apply all the PSEA and child protection principles, and show high commitment to report any PSEA & CP action.

Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department's organizational chart.

Qualification (Education/Work Experience)

A. Essential:

- At least a university degree or university student in education, psychology and child development, or a major closely related to the required work.

- Two-year work experience in education or protection programs.

- Turkish nationality.

B. Desirable:

- Strong experience in child protection in humanitarian or refugee settings, community-based child protection and child and youth participation required;

- Experience in programming related to child labour, girls’ rights and child marriage are an asset;

- Good facilitation skills and ability to deliver induction briefing/trainings;

- Excellent skills in project design, time management, and problem solving;

- Flexible work attitude and ability to work independently within a small team;

- Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse and cross-cultural audience;

- Excellent knowledge of Arabic and English mandatory.
