About Qatar Red Crescent:

Qatar Red Crescent is a voluntary charitable organization, was founded in March 1978. QRC has been internationally recognized in 1981 by the ICRC in Geneva and joined the IFRC in the same year.

Scope of Work:

Plan, coordinate, and follow-up on media coverage of the projects and events of Qatar Red Crescent in Türkiye and Syria, preparing and editing various types of information and data for producing videos and diverse media materials that contribute to supporting the humanitarian efforts of the Qatar Red Crescent.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Strategic:

1. Participate in developing plans that contribute to the advancement of the organization's media work.
2. Provide monthly plans for media materials that can be produced based on planned activities.
3. Innovate new ideas for producing humanitarian and advocacy videos in creative and diverse ways.
4. Coordinate and communicate with field photographers for covering various projects in Syria, and follow up on receiving, organizing, and archiving media materials.
5. Coordinate and communicate with project managers and field teams to gather information and rephrase it to suit the nature of the required product.

Operational:

1. Edit and produce different types of humanitarian videos (from the idea to final production).
2. Add graphics to videos to enhance viewers' understanding of the content.
3. Select suitable music and sound effects to increase the emotional impact of the video.
4. Process sound to improve sound quality and ensure clarity of recorded voices.
5. Collect and analyze information related to the videos from other departments.
6. Transform project information into a script suitable for humanitarian videos.
7. Shoot photos and videos and conduct interviews for Qatar Red Crescent activities in Türkiye.
8. Keep up with the latest technologies and tools in video editing and use them to improve production quality.
9. Knowledge of artificial intelligence tools relevant to the aforementioned field.
10. Review raw images and videos from photographers to ensure they meet required specifications.
11. Collect, archive, and organize media materials.
12. Perform any other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Education and Experience:

1. A relevant university degree or extensive experience in the same field.
2. 3-5 years of experience in producing and editing humanitarian videos.
3. 3-5 years of experience in writing humanitarian content and scripting.
4. At least 3 years of experience in shooting photos and videos using professional photography equipment.
5. Practical experience in shooting personal and dialog interviews using professional equipment.
6. Preference for those knowledgeable in graphics and supporting design software.
7. Experience working with humanitarian organizations, or familiar with their media and promotional work.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

1. The ability to innovate, be creative, and create emotional impact in producing humanitarian content.
2. The ability to think creatively and motivate the target audience to donate.
3. The ability to analyze project information and transform it into ideas and scenarios suitable for media production.
4. High skills in using video, audio, and graphics software and applications.
5. High skill in writing and editing in Arabic (English is an additional advantage).
6. Advanced skills in using computers and Office software.
7. Advanced knowledge of social media requirements.
8. Advanced knowledge of the basics of humanitarian media.
9. High skills in communication and coordination with colleagues and stakeholders.
10. The ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
11. The ability to withstand work pressure and frequent revisions.
