Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Turkish Nationality

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Accounting/Finance

Solid Turkish Accounting & Finance Background

CPA license is preferable

General Work Experience:

3-4 years’ experience in an accounting/finance role, sharing in the process of planning, prioritizing, assigning, and reviewing cash flow, accounting for grants projects.

Skills :

§ Languages :Turkish (native speaker) Good in English (writing –reading –speaking), Arabic will be desired

§ Computing: Proficient In Microsoft Office Including, Excel, Word, Outlook Etc. and experience on using accounting software

§ Financial Reporting

§ Document management

Abilities :

§ To have working experience in NGO (preferable)

§ To have English writing and speaking skills

§ Able to work independently / with remote supervision

§ To work in busy environment of projects management

§ To work extra time as needed

§ To communicate efficiently/effectively with multiple team members of different backgrounds

§ To communicate efficiently/effectively with donors and NGOs

§ To communicate efficiently/effectively with legal authorities

§ To show commitment to social justice and the mission of Syria Yardım as an organization

§ To demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

§ To help in keeping clear contract files and budget notes

· Day to day accounting registration on project basis method in line with Turkish Accounting Regulations with coding system

· Collecting all accounting supporting documents and archiving them project by project

· Follow up all project transactions for accounting purposes

· Monitoring donor-by-donor expenditure

· Maintaining files with supporting documents and paper work relating to each expenditure

· Scan and keep backup copies (PDFs) of each document on regular and systematic basis

· Reporting project balances to upper management

· Following project advance balances and reporting to upper management

· Provide support to team members in their absence

· Organizing the archives / scanning various documentation.

· Working closely with legal accounting

· Assisting legal accountant with tax return preparation.

· Developing relationship with tax, legal and regulatory authorities in Gaziantep and Hatay.
