Job Summary
Responsible for assisting with procurement in the Ankara office to support Samaritan’s Purse Turkey operations throughout the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for day to day procurement needs
- Assist with airport pickups/ drop offs, errands, and translation as needed
- Assist with reporting inventory on a weekly basis
- Assist with difficult and technical procurement cases as requested
- Receive PRs and ensure understanding of any technical aspects of what has been requested
- Be able to differentiate between good quality materials/supplies and poor quality items
- Develop vendor relations with multiple providers in the Ankara region
- Review vendors, focusing on suppliers of key items
- Review vendor quality and pricing
- Ensure a fair and competitive vendor selection process with ethical conduct
- Be familiar with and ensure compliance with SP Field Operating Guidelines (FOG) standards
- Ensure country laws related to procurement are communicated to management and upheld in the operations
- Conduct transactions in such a way as to ensure ethical organizational standards are upheld
- With a generous and serving spirit perform all the tasks and responsibilities assigned for the benefit of Samaritan’s Purse
- Any other duties as assigned by the line manager

Education / Experience Needed
High School Diploma or equivalent and one to two years related experience (preferably with a NGO)
Language
Ability to read and interpret documents in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English. Turkish language skills required. Arabic language skills preferred.
