iMMAP is a pioneering humanitarian organisation leading the way forward in the effective use of information management practices and principles at the service of the humanitarian relief and development community.
Scope of Work
The Software Development Officer will work with the iMMAP Turkey team, and will be responsible for the spatial data, spatial analysis, websites, databases, maps, training materials and infographic products created for iMMAP Turkey.
The Software Development Officer is expected to analyze, document and further develop system that will improve the IM capacity and the implementation of the humanitarian refugee response of the iMMAP clients
Essential Job Functions
Responsibilities
General
Ø Liaise with relevant organizations and represent iMMAP interests and cooperation in regard to capacity building, data and information management.
Ø Liaise with other information managers to build information management relationships for gathering reliable data and using data collection tools at the field level.
Ø The Software Development Officer is responsible for profiling, designing, reviewing and developing an enterprise system for use by an iMMAP Client
Ø The Software Development Officer will be responsible for first line support for the System, receiving and troubleshooting queries and problems with the System from staff and end users.
Ø S/he will assist the client in developing functions and modules for the system, to meet the client’s requirements.
Ø Work closely with the Data Entry Personnel in order to ensure a high accuracy of the data entered (data cleaning and verification) in the Information management system.
Ø Ensure all activities are properly documented.
Ø Identify existing platforms and initiatives already developed by iMMAP clients and if possible gather the information related to the case management.
Ø Ensure data quality and monitor the performance of the data collecting tools developed by the team.
Ø Contribute to situational analysis, improving quality of service delivery and identifying service gaps.
Ø Develop of standard formats and regular outputs on publication, including; maps, snapshots, infographics and newsletters.
Ø Contribute to the measurement of progress made to achieve planned objectives within iMMAP Turkey project.
Representation
Ø Represent the iMMAP Country Program with national and international partners, donors, media, and participate in local community activities as appropriate.
Ø Maintain effective and positive internal contacts with iMMAP Country and Regional Representatives, external contacts with national and local government officials, international non-governmental organizations (NGOs), donor agency officials, vendors, media, and the general public.
Ø Follow iMMAP's branding regulations required for marking, or branding, of all iMMAP products and correspondence.
Security
Ø Follow security protocols as laid down by the iMMAP Global Security Advisor.
Organizational Learning
Ø As part of the iMMAP commitment to organizational learning, and in support of the understanding that learning organizations are more effective, efficient and relevant to the communities they serve, it is expected that the Software Development Officer will commit 5% of their time to learning activities that benefit iMMAP as well as individual professional development.
Accountability to Beneficiaries
Ø iMMAP team members are expected to support all efforts toward accountability, specifically to beneficiaries of iMMAP programs, and to international standards guiding relief and development work, while actively engaging beneficiary communities as equal partners in the design, monitoring and evaluation of field projects.

Ø Any other duties as required.
Chain of Command
The Software Development Officer works under the direct supervision of the iMMAP Turkey SBP Coordinator, in close consultation with the iMMAP Country Director.
Qualifications
Requaired
Ø At least 2 years experience in database design, administration and management and information system development.
Ø Demonstrable Intimate knowledge of the Zend Framework for PHP
Ø Demonstrable skills in MySQL RDBMS.
Ø Demonstrable skills AJAX, JQuery and Javascript
Ø Experience in information systems (Servers and Clients) setup, administration and maintenance.
Ø Experience with Software Version Control tools.
Desired
Ø Advanced degree in Information Systems and relevant field experience.
Ø Good interpersonal skills.
Ø Proven ability and experience interacting with a wide range of organizations while upholding humanitarian principles of impartiality and neutrality.
