Aim:

Developing case management capacities of DRC GBV teams and innovative ways to ensure the best programming according to beneficiaries needs. Leading the implementation and management of DRC Programmes according to the DRC Turkey Programmes strategy.

Who are we?

DRC is an International non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world. Throughout 2015, Turkey continued to play a central role in the Syrian refugee crisis within the MENA region. With its 2.5 million Syrian refugees, Turkey is also the country that is hosting the highest number of refugees in the world. In 2015 Turkey has then faced the impact of other neighboring countries border restrictions on the entry of Syrians initiated in the last quarter of 2014. Operating in Turkey since early 2013, DRC works specifically with Syrian refugees and other displacement-affected communities in the southern provinces of Hatay, Kilis, Sanliurfa, and Kahramanmaras. The overall objective for DRC in Turkey is the protection and promotion of durable solutions to displacement affected populations on the basis of humanitarian principles and human rights. Through this objective, DRC seeks to implement a GBV prevention and response project.

The overall objective of the GBV project is to enhance individual and community capacities to mitigate GBV through prevention and response activities.

About the job:

The GBV Case Management Consultant will be responsible for augmenting the case management capacities of the GBV team. The Consultant will report to the GBV Manager and the Head of Programmes. Therefore, she/he will have to:

Duties and Responsibilities

· Design and deliver trainings regarding non-specialized counselling for GBV survivors to DRC staff;

· Ensure supervision and coaching for DRC Case Workers working with survivors of GBV and at risk- beneficiaries;

· Train, coach and orient the GBV Case Workers, especially in the design and implementation of case management and safety plans;

· Ensure that case management is completed according to guidelines and standards;

· Ensure all Case Management related M&E tools are utilized, information collected, analyzed and actions taken to ensure quality service provision;

· Supervise and monitor individual and collective action plans/safety plans for beneficiaries developed by Case Workers;

· Support and provide guidance to case workers on complex cases – as needed;

· Ensure proper documentation of cases and follow-up processes;

· Partake in staff meetings and monthly evaluation meetings;

· Participate and ensure participation of case workers in peer-to-peer or other capacity building initiatives implemented at the sector level

· Any other duties as agreed with the DRC Country Director/Representative

About you

To be successful in this role you must have:

· At minimum, a university degree with specific focus on Social Work, Mental Health services, International Human Rights, sociology, or other relevant field.

· At least 6 years of relevant professional humanitarian experience with an international humanitarian aid organization.

· Experience working as an expatriate in multiple contexts.

· Extensive experience working in MENA region.

· Extensive experience working with survivors of GBV and promoting women’s empowerment.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective and team and external relation.

· Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken are essential, working knowledge of Arabic and/or Turkish is a strong advantage.

We offer

DRC will offer the successful applicant a 90 days contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work ASAP and be willing and able to work in Urfa / Turkey.

We offer a fair compensation package depending on your qualification and experiences as well as additional allowances such as relocation allowance and living allowances, if applicable. DRC Turkey is income tax exempted.
