The Medical Data and Reporting Manager will be responsible for maintaining medical database for monitoring and reporting purposes. He/she will work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, medical team, information management department to ensure quality reports and inputs for the program. The Medical M&E Manager will report to the Medical Coordinator or their designated person. Their essential duties are as follows: - Any other requirements needed.
Medical Reporting:
- Receive data from Sentinel Site and sub offices staff on a weekly basis
- Review data and contact Sentinel Site staff for clarification of any inaccuracies noted
- Collate all information into a draft report for review by the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
- Work with Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to monitor trends in medical data and ensure timely communication of any issues to the medical team for necessary intervention
- Act as the focal point for trouble shooting any data related issues at the supported health facilities
- Travel to field sites for site assessments (for data handling), training and supportive supervision as requested by Medical Coordinator
- Travel to field sites with medical team for routine program monitoring of health facilities as requested by Medical Coordinator
- Keep updated records of all medical facilities, their level of reporting, designated field assistant, and primary/secondary sentinel sites
- Maintain medical database and progress on the indicators for all donors and highlight on underachievement of any indicator to Medical Programme Managers each month.
- Work with Medical Program Officers to share information and maintain updated facility information to assist in decision-making, internal and external reports, donor visits, etc.
- Produce weekly medical program reports and compile medical data for quarterly and monthly reports as needed
- Maintain record of all the trainings for medical department
- Take lead with support of Medical Coordinator in ensuring regular, complete and accurate data being reported from the facilities
- Ensure periodic data validation from health facilities through field staff
- Work closely with medical sub sectors staff and integrating of medical data in one reporting format
- Lead and coordinate all health related assessments and surveys analyze data with support from M&E and develop draft reports
- Identify training needs for data collectors, ensure regular availability and maintenance of data registers at the health facilities
Logistics/Admin:
- Maintain regular contact with Sentinel Site staff to provide office supplies and printed materials to medical facilities and sentinel sites in a timely manner
- Raise PRs or GIOs as needed to prevent stock outs of medical MIS materials
- Miscellaneous:
- Attend meetings with various departments as requested by the Medical Coordinator
- Assist in arranging meetings and training as requested by the Medical Coordinator
- Adhere to IMC Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principles
- Follow all IMC rules and regulation including security clearances before travel
- Any other tasks as requested by the Medical Coordinator or designated person
Qualification and Skills:
- referable medical background such as doctor, nurse, midwife or any relevant graduate education
- Must have at least 5 years’ experience working with INGOs in humanitarian or development contexts
- Must be able to analyse and interpret data and to track performance against program indicators
- Must be able to write reports
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic
- Must be skilled in Microsoft Excel and power point
- Must be able to travel inside SyriaMust have the ability to work effectively with various personalities and cultures
- Salary Range and benefits:
- Monthly US$ 2000–US$ 2553(depending on experience) + benefits
