Turkey: HHP Liaison Assistant

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/SCOPE OF WORK: Liaise with host community and local Turkish NGO to run Health and Hygiene Promotion (HHP) activities as operated out of the IMC office in Gaziantep.

Essential Duties:

  • Work with HHP team operating in Turkey to organize health and protection educational Events

  • Liaise between the HHP team working in Turkey and the local NGOs for referring and linking the refugee population for better access to services.

  • Liaise between HHP teams and local community for better introducing the HHP program.

  • Work with the HHP program to facilitate referrals to government agencies from HHPs

  • Will help in organizing peace building health education events between refugee and host communities.

  • Design and update assessment tools such as surveys or FGD for all interventions.

  • Support HHPs and HHP team leader to run activities

  • Help development of health and hygiene education messages ensuring that information included is accurate, salient and culturally sensitive

  • Maintain regular communication with IMC operating PHC Managers and HHPs

  • Ensure that HHPs are available to conduct the required surveys, as planned by the M&E department.

  • Travel to field sites if necessary and requested by supervisors

  • Support in program administration, HR, and procurement for health hygiene promotion program.

  • Assist health hygiene promotion Program Officers re: HHP supervision, supplies, etc.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor education.

  • Fluency in Arabic, Turkish and Ability to communicate effectively verbally and writing in English.

  • Very good computer skills especially in MS Word, MS excel, and outlook.

  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills necessary.

  • Understanding of community-based programming.

  • Strong communication skills

  • Eligible to work legally in Turkey (having work permit/valid residency)
