The IYCF facilitator will report to the Nutrition Officer, and will be based in Turkey in PHC clinic.
Essential Duties:
Provide regular technical and operational support to IYCF Facilitators.
Supervise all the activities related to IYCF Activities.
Provide trainings for another IMC staff, and IYCF-E and CMAM in particular.
Provide supervisory support IYCF facilitators with the development and implementation of the IYCF work plan.
Support the monitoring and analysis of all IYCF activities implemented at field level, including regular collection of data, and sharing relevant data and recommendations as appropriate.
Coordinate closely with other IMC departments to support linkages of IYCF-E activities, particularly with Protection, and other Medical teams such as Reproductive Health and Community Health.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
University degree or Intermediate Institute Preferably a medical background.
Minimum 1 year of overall experience in work with NGOs. Experience in development/humanitarian sector will be an added advantage.
Experience in Nutrition inpatient and outpatient treatment, Infant and Young Child Feeding promotion, breastfeeding counselling, child development, and community mobilization.
Understanding of the Code of Marketing Breast milk Substitutes and the Operational Guidance on Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies, and familiarity with IYCF-E and Nutrition internationally agreed guidelines, protocols, and standards (including Sphere).
Adherence to Code of Conduct for MRFS and humanitarian workers, and the humanitarian principles.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Proven strength of working independently as well as working well as a member of a team.
Willingness to work in insecure environments.
Ability and willingness to travel.
Fluent in Arabic and able to writing and reading in English.
