· ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/SCOPE OF WORK: Adheres to the CFS child protection policy and code of conduct.

· Actively builds trustful relationships with children under his/her group.

· Accomplishes her/his duty of care in a child friendly manner and ensuring children under his/her care are not exposed to any form of stressful situation.

· Supports in building the children’s profiles, and keeps her/his children’s files updated.

· Plan activities she/he is assigned to facilitate based on best interest and needs of children.

· Understand that children are the main actors in their own development and encourage them in decision making of matters that affects them.

· Pays attention to children’s needs and feelings, shows empathy and utilizes participatory approaches in anticipated activities.

· Closely follows up on individual child participation in activities and identifies children with special needs.

· Reports any observed problem of a child to the social worker for necessary support or referral to other supportive network.

· Identifies materials required for activities preferred by children and requests for procurement.

· Actively attends supportive trainings.

· Sensitizes community members to key child protection messages.

· Accomplishes individual and collective assignments given by his/her supervisors.

· Reports to his/her supervisor as soon as he/she suspects, observes or is informed that a child or children are at risk of maltreatment or being maltreated.

· Ensures safety of children during group activities and avoids harmful exercises.

· Ensures activities are appropriate for the physical and mental capacity of children.

· Actively attends and participates in the meetings called by the supervisor, and adheres to time frames and deadlines.

· Acknowledges and respects gender issues, cultural and religious constraints.

Documentation of all activities and outcomes

· Undertake other duties that may be determined by his/her supervisor and/or CFS/YEP Officer and maintain flexibility in response in an emergency setting

· Accomplishing an exhibitions including ancient civilizations and its heritage .

· Engaging the youth to learn vital handicrafts and doing sculpture on both wood and soap.

· Actively teaches drawing and caricature in addition to poetry , carpentry and blacksmith.

· Adheres to the YEP child protection policy and code of conduct .

· Actively builds trustful relationships with children under his/her group.

Education:

· University degree preferred.

· Valid Passport.

Work Experience:

· 1 year experience in working with children (education, activities, ... etc)

· Implementing child protection programs,

· children development,

· psychosocial activities, preferable social work or case management,

· in humanitarian or development settings
Experience in working in a cross cultural environment preferable

· Good experiences handicrafts, knitting & sewing.

Demonstrated Skills and Competencies:

· Enjoying working in the field;
Demonstrated understanding of working with children and particularly vulnerable children;
Good communication skills;

· Flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure; Team player;

· Preferred to be living in Kilis city .

Essential Criteria

· Syrian Nationality only.

· Work experience as animator/facilitator
