Chemonics seeks a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) associate to join our team in Istanbul, Turkey. The M&E associate will be responsible for supporting M&E systems and ensuring appropriate data capture for a dynamic program working on Syrian issues. They will consolidate findings, produce reports, and highlight methods to incorporate M&E priorities into future programming. They will report directly to the M&E Research Manager, and will work closely with grant management units, as well as in-country donor representatives. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Support data analysis, impact assessments, and design of M&E plans with national and international staff
- Review activity objectives and implementation plans to identify Office of Transition Initiatives indicators and data collection measures to form activity-specific M&E plans
- Assist with report preparation (e.g., progress reports, donor final reports) to ensure that the program's results and impact, not just outputs, are fully captured
- Help the M&E specialist and Program Development oFfficers coordinate logistics for field data collection
- Translate summaries of program site visits and disseminate these to grant management units, the M&E team, and the program management team
- Work closely with the M&E specialist to ensure consistency of qualitative information captured for database entries
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
- One to three years of relevant experience in data collection and related tools, techniques, and methodologies; experience reporting on development project results preferred
- Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work with people from all backgrounds to achieve program objectives
- Experience with and/or good understanding of donor organizations preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
- Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic
