Organization brief:

Basmeh & Zeitooneh in collaboration with several local and civil supporting partners’ organizations (UOSSM, Kesh Malek, Kirkayak, Women Now) have made a joint venture known as “AILE” to implement programs that are relevant to their expertise, and that target marginalized sectors of the community in order to provide opportunities for relief and development.

The organizations established two community centers in two locations in Turkey; a center in Gaziantep and a center in Şanliurfa. Both centers are set to provide services for vulnerable Syrian Beneficiaries that are residing within the local Turkish community areas. Services such as informal education, skills development, and psychosocial support are meant to relieve them from marginalization and empower them for a better future. It is believed that by allowing beneficiaries to develop their skills and capacity building, the chance to live a decent life without the fear of poverty will increase. The centers will provide services that target women, children, and youngsters, with three main sectors: education, skills training, and psychosocial support.

Job Summary:

The Supervisor will be under the direct supervision of the Community Center Manager. She will be responsible for coordinating training in Aile’s Community Center.

The main responsibility of the Supervisor is to ensure activities implementation in the community center.

Contract: 31 December 2017, with the possibility of extension based on funding and the project continuity. Location: Gaziantep / Şanlıurfa

Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks:

Administration:

• Responsible for the coordination of training in the community center.

• Ensure a strict adherence to the set curriculum and targets set out in the project.

• Follow up on the implementation of activities with the community center manager or with the project manager when necessary.

• Follow up with the trainers regarding any issues, recommendations, suggestions, or updates regarding the project’s implementation, trainers or beneficiaries.

• Provide daily reports, written weekly & monthly reports.

• Update the community center management with each activity and task.

• Report trainers & beneficiaries outcomes and feedback to the community center manager or to the Human Resources regarding challenges, problematic, grievance.

• Use flexible methodologies during the implementation of the activities.

• Ensure a friendly environment while working with a team.

• All staff project are required to adhere to project employment policies.

• Ensure all information gathered, used and entered are confidential.

Education and Experience:

• High School / Bachelor Degree.

• Minimum 2 years working in similar position, preferable in Life skills Training.

• Minimum 1 year working in NGO sector.

Required Skills:

• Fluency in Arabic and English. Turkish will be an asset.

• Present the Project in an efficient valuable way.

• Superior reporting ability.

• Flexibility and adaptability.

• Excellent communication, management, and coordination skills.

• Organized, good time keeper.

• Good written skills in English and Arabic.

• Knowledge of Syria crisis context.

• Familiar with the local host community.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and objectives.

• Previous knowledge of life skills training.

• Good computer skills.
