Main Objective:

The Human Resource Officer is responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counseling.

Reporting to: Hr Manager

Position Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place.
  2. Provide advice and assistance with writing job descriptions.
  3. Provide advice and assistance when conducting staff performance evaluation.

  4. Organize staff training sessions, workshops and activities.

  5. Provide basic counseling to staff who have performance related obstacles.

  6. Provide advice and assistance in developing human resource plans.

  7. Provide staff orientations.

  8. Access funding for training and write proposals.

  9. Provide advice and assistance to supervisors on staff recruitment

  10. Prepare notices and advertisements for vacant staff positions.

  11. Develop and implement a human resources plan and personnel management policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor degree in economics, human resources management, business administration or a related field.

  2. At least 3 years’ experience of working in the human resources management.

  3. Ability to represent the organization image in professional manner.

  4. Commitment to humanitarian relief standards, abilities, and personal Skills

  5. Organizing skills, Strong oral and written communication skills

  6. Report writing skills.

  7. Excellent communication skills, speaking and writing in English essential.

  8. Experience working with humanitarian organizations preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

  1. Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  3. Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
  4. Good working knowledge of computer skills including word, excel, email/internet
