About Point
POINT was established by a group of Syrians and is located in Gaziantep, Turkey. As an organic NGO the co-founders of PONT realized the crucial capacity gaps and needs for the Syrian civil society to play a greater role in improving the response to the Syrian crisis and better contribute to the stabilization of their conflict-affected country. POINT provides capacity development to the Syrian local civil society actors as well as local staff in INGOs. This is in order to strengthen their voice, increase their impact and bring about the development of a diverse, inclusive and independent civil society.

Introduction the Position
The Finance and Grants senior Officer will ensure the grants and financial Dep. working through the efficient planning and review of Finance and Grants activities relating to POINT Org. in Turkey/Syria. The job holder will be responsible for the prepare budgets, monitoring the grants and submit F. reports performing her/his responsibility from POINT’s Gaziantep office.
Main Tasks
· Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures.
· Be familiar with existing SOPs and ensure that the protocols therein are adhered to at all times.
· Focal point and liaison between program teams and supply chain teams regarding payments for these programs.
· Follow up on documentation and forms required for payment.
· Monitor quality of documentation including beneficiary lists, receipts, monitoring templates, etc.
· Ensure that all payment files are correct, complete, accountable, and transparent before payment.
· Validating received vouchers and preparing timely payment of vendors in the cash and voucher activities.
· Preparing voucher distribution schedules.
· Ensuring maintenance of the records related to all cash and voucher related documents and submission, after consultation with the Program Manager, to the finance department immediately following distributions.
· Coordinating the input from Program Managers for budget and spending plan reviews.
· Assist in the implementation of all finance policies and procedures and ensure compliance with POINT’s policies and procedures.
· Responsible for disbursement of cash and ensure such payments are appropriately approved and documented.
· Orderly filing of all finance related documents such payment vouchers, journal voucher and other finance documents.
· Responsible for the preparation of donor reports with their supporting documents.
· Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
Skills & Experience
- Some university education in a relevant discipline preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in Finance and Grants management.
- Good Experience in writing Financial reports.
- Creativity.
Qualification
· Ability to develop budgets for projects and manage the grants.
· Strong conceptual and practical understanding of the role and purpose of Finance and Grants management for international humanitarian organizations.
· Strong written and verbal communications skills required.
· Preparing Financial reports on time.
· Ability to use Microsoft Office programs, particularly professional Excel.
· English and Arabic language required.
· Good organizational skills, time management skills, and an ability to prioritize multiple and demanding tasks.
· Adaptable, self-motivated, willing to learn and take on extra duties as required.
· Commitment to beneficiary accountability and humanitarian ethics.
· Able to working with multi account systems especially Quick Books.
Reporting: Finance Manager.
The contract period: Employment contract for 12 months – able to be renewed.
