Dunya Doktorlari (DDD) is the Turkish branch of Médecins du Monde, an international humanitarian organization whose mission is to provide medical care for the most vulnerable populations, over the world, including Turkey. It seeks to stimulate voluntary commitment from doctors, other health care providers, and from those whose expertise in other fields is needed for its activities, to enlist all competent support required for the achievement of its projects, and to seek at all times to encourage close working relationships with populations in its care.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You support and ensure close relation between the different support and programme teams. You support technically the finance teams and report directly to the finance coordinator.
More especially, you:
-Update and analyse monthly budget follow-up.
-Prepare financial sections of donor’s proposals, budgets, donors reports, agreements with the authorities.
-Support the preparation of external or internal audit.
-Ensure internal financial procedures, systems, policies and controls are applied and complied with throughout the operations by all staff.
-Participate to the improvement and development of financial tools currently in use in the mission.
-Accompany field bases in financial partnership management.
-Participate in implementing training plans as needed to improve financial system capacity of the partners.
-Provide financial support, training and advice to all finance staff in country.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Status : Employee
Contract : Fixed-term contract
Duration : 6 to 9 months
Position based in Istanbul with field visits
Starting date: mid April 2017
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
Languages: English fluent
Arabic/Turkish an asset
French an asset
Experience of 1.5 years minimum in a similar position
Experience in management of multi projects budgets
Excellent computer skills, knowledge of SAGA is an asset
Ability to work under a minimum of supervision
Reactivity, adaptability, capacity to take initiatives
Organisational skills and rigor
Ability to classify and to manage priorities
Capacity to work and to live in tense conditions
