Turkey: Compliance Assistant

· Assist the compliance officer in monitoring grant management and compliance policies, controls, and procedures;

· Identify compliance vulnerability and risk and proactively develop corrective actions; in consultation with the CO.

· Ensure full compliance with donor regulations local laws.

· Assist the CO in organizational expertise on donor compliance requirements, ensuring that relevant staff are informed of donor requirements and ensure compliance.

· Assist CO in capacity building activities with program partners to standardize compliance and grant management procedures and ensure that all staff has the tools and training in order to understand donor guidelines and grant management procedures.

· Conduct regular field visits and provide on-going mentoring and on the job training to IMC partners in grants management and compliance.

· Review potential sub-grantees proposals and budgets.

· Review sub-grantees financial reports.

· Perform field visits to sub-grantees to check the financial report supporting documents.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university. An advanced degree will be an added advantage.

· Valid passport and residency for Syrian nationals.

· Minimum of one-year work experience in a professional services firm, large NGO or donor organization.

· Knowledge of compliance requirements for major donors.

· High-level skills in written English and ability to transform documents and reports developed by program staff into dissemination standard documents.

· Ability to present, discuss and supervise compliance with grants monitoring protocols with team members of varying levels.

· Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective project files for accountability and audit purposes.

· Demonstrated ability to remain positive and productive in a difficult operating environment.
