Job Summary and Responsibility:
Content Manager will be responsible for creating, improving and maintaining content to achieve WATAN goals. main duties will also include sharing content to raise WATAN presence and monitoring web traffic and metrics to identify best practices. In addition to being responsible for all media products including but not limits to periodical reports and newsletters, project media products and organizational profiles and other materials.
- Develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout
- Create and publish engaging content
- Edit, proofread and improve writers’ posts
- Optimize content according to Donors
- Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and users’ engagement metrics
- Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
- Develop an editorial calendar and ensure content team is on board
- Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection)
- Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention
- Collect the contents and formatted to prepare monthly and annual reports
- Research, write and edit white papers, news articles, blog posts, e-newsletters, social media posts, FAQs, how-to guides, video scripts and more
- Review and translation all texts for printing and publishing reports and audited and drafted
- Writing and translation of publications and projects books and promotional films and documentaries scenarios
- Writing and translation of press articles and speeches
- Supervise or produce project books
- Maintain program specific contents
- Develop humanitarian response integration themes
Position Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Content manager
- Hands on experience with MS Office and WordPress
- Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
- Familiarity with social media
- Excellent writing skills in English, Arabic and Turkish
- Attention to detail
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- BSc degree in Journalism, Marketing or relevant field
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Team management skills
