Job Purpose Summary: Essential functions, quality/quantity expected list of marginal duties and number of national/and or expat staff supervised. Monitoring Pharmacist based in MEAL department will be responsible to conduct baseline of existing medical commodities stock to rationalize the shipment and verify the shipment of medical commodities across all supported health facilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES and ACCOUNTABILITIES
Data Entry & Management
- To register all health facilities with IMC using Satellite-based Tracking and Remote-management (STAR) System
- To conduct an independent baseline inventory of existing medical commodities stock to rationalize the quality of shipment to all supported health facilities
- Monitor the deliveries of medical commodities, and complete a post-delivery verification of shipment in supported health facilities.
- The pharmacist will use the STAR System for the verification of medical commodities supplied to representative sample of supported health facilities. The STAR System gathers key verification data, including the geographic information, geotagged pictures and videos of verification process and GPS coordinates from where monitoring takes place, to ensure transparent and effective delivery of medical commodities to designated health facilities.
- Maintain proper record of raw data/info from verification
- Produce monthly report based on findings and share with medical department
MEAL Administrative Support
- Assist with translation of related documents, reports, data collection tools related to verification of medical commodities.
- Data entry of data collected during verification process and produce analysis as needed
- Support other needs of the MEAL department as they arise
- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.
QUALIFICATIONS
Personnel Qualifications (Special training/experience required):
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical science.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, Arabic and Turkish. In addition to ability to translate as the following directions: (English to Arabic, Arabic to English, English to Turkish, Turkish to English, Arabic to Turkish, and Turkish to Arabic).
- High proficiency in MS Office required; experience with data analysis software is desirable
- Experience in data collection and analysis
- Experience working with NGOs preferred
- Good communication and report writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural setting
- Adherence to IMC Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principles is required
