Turkey: Information and Translation Assistant(Turkish National)

• Provide good quality and timely translation of documents for the Turkey Emergency Response team and serve as interpreter in trainings and meetings as required

· Compile information tools required internally or externally ensuring that information is accurately entered into these tools and submitted on time

· Support compilation of weekly reports/sitreps and grant reports (monthly, quarterly, final), ensuring accuracy of information and timely submission

· Create and share tools to present and analyze information including maps, spreadsheets and graphs

· Proactively engage with program teams in order to retrieve information, trouble shoot, and stay up to date on program developments

· Collect and manage storage of photos and other media, and use these for reporting

· Support any other needs of the MEAL Department

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree in Translation, English literature, Social Sciences, or other related field

· Fluency in written and spoken Turkish and English is a must.

· Fluency in written and spoken Arabic is not required but is a plus

· High proficiency in MS Office

· Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multicultural setting

· Desire to learn, flexibility, willingness to ask questions

· Able to deal with stress

· Adherence to IMC Code of Conduct and internationally accepted humanitarian principles is required

OTHERS:

This position is open for Turkish National. Candidates have to be able to communicate (verbal and writing) in Turkish and English. However, candidates who have excellent communication skills in all three working languages, Turkish-Arabic and English will be prioritized.
