ABOUT HUMAN APPEAL
Human Appeal (HA) is a humanitarian, non-governmental and non-profit organisation that works in 25 countries around the world since 1991.
* BACKGROUND:
Since 2013 HA has set up an office in Turkey. HA is an INGO that provides emergency aid and services to people affected by the conflict in Syria. HA works in a variety of sectors which include; education, food and livelihood, WASH, shelter and others.
* JOB PURPOSE:
Develop and Implementation the media plan for all HA activities and projects.
* DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1-Reproducing and framing photographs as per the specified guidelines for projects and donor requirements – as communicated by the programmes team leads.
2-Providing two version of photographs – in low and high resolution and selecting the 30 most relevant photographs to be uploaded and sent to the programmes team as per specification.
3-Design brochures, logos, Monthly Newsletter, promotional materials, videos, Infographics, related to project as required, which must be signed off by the relevant management personnel using HA high-quality logos and branding guidelines.
4-Be responsible for ensuring that both managers and main coordinators
Receive video copies of projects activities in a timely manner and according to pre-agreed deadlines and specifications.
5-Supervise on all recorded interviews with beneficiaries for audit, monitoring and evaluation purposes. And Ensure all beneficiaries have given their consent for all photographs and video documentation, as per the HA regulations.
6-To ensure a work log of activities has been filled out, enhancing transparency and accountability of work conducted.
7-Stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms to ensure a maximum effectiveness.
8-Oversee social media accounts’ layout for HA Turkey Office.
9-Prepare Media Annual Report.
10-Organize all Media events, activities related to HA Turkey Office.
11-Supervise and Train the media officer in the field on technical media work and how to communicate with beneficiaries, partners and others in the local community.
12-Any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager.
Other
1-University degree in a related field (Media, Art, Marketing,…).
2-Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Humanitarian Field and Media Roles.
3-Computer literate and competent with Microsoft office and other design Programmes, as required (Photoshop- InDesign, Illustrator,
4-Excellent verbal & oral communication skills
· Good verbal and written in Arabic and English.
· Preferably in Turkish.
5-Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, manage time and prioritise work to deadlines.
6-Demonstrable understanding of issues related to direct aid and international development in the humanitarian context.
7-Creative and adaptable working prepared to travel to meetings, conferences and training within Turkey and Syria.
8-Punctuality and respect for rules and procedures.
9-Ability to work as part of a team and to work independently, with minimal supervision and well under pressure.
10-Must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding work-related information and data.
* CONDITIONS
Availability: As soon as possible.
Legal Situation: the candidate should have a residence permit or work permit in Turkey
Duty station: The position will be based 70% in Turkey "Gaziantep", and 30% in the field.
Salary and conditions: in accordance with Human Appeal International’s Terms of Employment for Nationals.
Nationality: Syrian or Turkey who can communicate well in English
