Purpose of the Position
Under the guidance of the UNICEF Education Officer, the Education Assistant will be responsible for administrative support including the collection of information, maintaining records, documentation, and correspondence for the timely organization and implementation of all the activities in relation to the Inclusive Early Childhood Education for CwD project, ensuring timely and effective delivery that is consistent with UNICEF rules and regulations.
Key Accountabilities and Duties & Tasks
Support to project development, planning and execution
Compiles data and information on subject matters relevant to the work of the section to facilitate preparation of reports, working papers, and presentations.
Carries out transactions in VISION ensuring program results, activities and program coding are as per annual work plans (AWPs), and makes amendments and alterations as per section revisions when necessary.
Follows up both internally with the UNICEF Supply section and externally with counterparts to ensure supplies for program implementation are delivered in a timely and accurate manner.
2.Support to monitoring and reporting of project results
Provides support on budget revision/preparation, implementation status, monitoring of fund utilization, operational, and financial closure.
Prepares and maintains records, documents and control plans for the monitoring of project implementation.
3.Support in resource mobilization
Compiles and organizes information and data pertaining to donors (both current and potential).
4. Support in Knowledge Management and capacity building
