Role Purpose
- The Partnerships Associate person will support program and support staff who manage partnerships in individual projects and programs. It is a cross-cutting role involving technical assistance and support to ensure high quality, feedback and learning in SEMA partnerships. S/he will work closely with Grant and partnership Manager and the Grant Team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the G&PM to identify, partnership opportunities
- As requested by the G&PM maintain contact with the partners to ensure / confirm that annual planning, project monitoring, reporting, and project amendments are implemented.
- Collaborate with the G&PM to identify, document and share best practices from their projects with other partners.
- Under the guidance of the G&PM Prepare / review the Semi-annual report submitted / will be submitted to the partners and provide feedback to partners.
- Facilitate field visits of SEMA Partners which aim to monitor the implementation of their projects’ SEMA systems, processes, activity plans, gender equity, inclusion, and sustainable programming.
- As required by G&PM undertake field visits to monitor the implementation of partners’ projects’ systems, processes, activity plans, gender equity, inclusion, and sustainable programming.
- Provide support for preparation of Annual Reflection and Learning workshop with the partner to ensure all the arrangement of the workshop.
- Support any conduct evaluation activities by partners for SEMA and any
- Collaborate with Grant Coordinator to prepare and organize the kick off and the close out of SEMA sub-grants with all concerned.
- Maintain hard / Soft copy files for all SEMA / SEMA partners’ agreements.
- Assists with the development, maintenance and tracking of SEMA grants.
- Participate in develops reports and information for grant funding agencies.
- Follow up on the required documents by partners when opening new partnership.
- Conduct stakeholder analysis and partnership scoping for programs.
- Develop, monitor and document strategic partnerships (outcome mapping, incentive analysis, etc)
- Participate in the legal vetting process of implementing Partners in case of sub granting.
- Formulate partnerships with donors, even with local partners Any other task or duty assign by the higher managers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
- Bachelor degree in relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years work experience in the humanitarian sector/with NGOs, with at least 2 years’ experience in partnership based programming or community based programming.
- Good skills and experience in all aspects of programme cycle management – design and development, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation
- Experience in organizational capacity development, training, mentoring and coaching
- Proven experience in field level representation with key stakeholders and co-ordination with other NGOs/UN
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills and the ability to think and plan strategically
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including a good track record of report writing
- Good knowledge of Microsoft programs (Power point, Word and Excel) is required. Fluency in English, both verbal and written, required.
