Context:
Emissa for Development is a Syrian non-governmental non-profit organization that works since 2012 to support local communities, strengthen civil society, and respond to the humanitarian needs of the vulnerable people with particular attention to the children and youth. The mission of the Organization is to promote, develop, and implement community-based projects in Syria by civil society activists in order to improve the lives of civilians in their communities, mainly inside Syria, empower them and preserve their dignity. Job Overview/ Summary
The HR/ Admin Assistant provide both HR-specific and general administrative and secretarial support, they provide direct support to executives by scheduling meetings and appointments, making travel arrangements, and processing expense reports.
Duties and responsibilities:
The HR/Admin Assistant will perform the following duties:
- Support SHRO with managing Emissa Leave trackers, and maintain up to date timesheets tracker.
- Support Senior HR Officer with implementing training plans and presentations when needed
- Ensure staff personnel files are completed and up to date due to Emissa HR standards.
- Provide recruitment support when needed
- Support staff with Flight ticket and hotel booking, due to Emissa standards
- Keep an up to date tracker for Booking processes and expenses
- Organizing board meetings, drafting and sharing the meetings minutes with board members.
- Support in other HR/ Admin areas as needed and requested
Education:
- University degree in related educational sector, Business administration is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Previous HR Experience, with good knowledge of HR function. NGO experience is preferred
- Good Communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in Arabic and excellent English skills, Turkish is an asset
- Ability to improvise flexibility, cultural and environmental sensitivity
- Good Computer skills, MS Office package especially in Excel
Personality:
- Strong believer in human rights and values of justice.
- Experience in working with volunteers groups.
- Proactive with excellent communication and leadership skills.
