ACCOUNTABILITIES

Key relationships: Projects officer, Field Assistants.

General objective of the position:

The senior Information officer is responsible of reviewing internal reports of the information department, and work on need assessment questionnaire, develop and maintain the structure of the database, and working with the MEAL/IMU manager to develop, maintain, and continuously update IM products.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

· Work with MEAL/IMU manager to provide IM services for key decision-making including; data collection, collation, analysis and information dissemination;

· Recruit, develop and retain high performing Information Team.

· Design and administer the central database

· Work with MEAL/IMU manager to develop, maintain and continuously update IM products

· Ensure accurate inputting of data received from various sources and partners into database.

· Maintain and further develop the structure or format of the database as required, incorporating ideas and amendments from the programs.

· Work with MEAL/IMU manager to develop and maintain documentation database/design documentation and operating manual on how to use the database for the programs.

· Follow up Health facility attacks with Health Cluster.

· Work on need assessment questionnaire with methodology to be included in project management.

· Review Reports form IMU manager before sending to Grants team.

Management of the IMU team following SAMS rules and regulations

· Recruit the IMU team as per established plans, in collaboration with MEAL/IMU manager with the Human Resources department

· Organize training sessions for the IMU team to cover gaps and needs identified dynamically within the team

· Follow up the MEAL/IMU team according to the missions’ HR Policy and guidelines: daily management, discipline, performance evaluation, annual leaves management, etc.

· To constantly liaise and coordinate actions with the Field Coordinator

Office Culture:

THE CANDIDATE’S REQUIREMENTS

Mandatory Qualifications required

University degree, software engineering, computer science, information management, Information technology, or communication management.

Minimum of two years of IMU experience

data analysis tools such as: NVIVO, TABLEAU, ArcGIS.

Languages

§ Excellent written and spoken in Arabic

§ English fluent
