Orange is a civil society non-governmental local organisation devoted to developing the capacity of individuals, institutions and other civil society organizations. Orange is a registered NGO in Turkey since March 2016. Through multiple donors’ funding, Orange is currently operating in northern Syria in Aleppo, Idleb, and Daraa governorates, as well as having refugees’ response in Turkey across Kilis, Hatay, Sanliurfa and Kahramanmaras provinces. Orange’s mission is to empower and build the capacity of individuals and organizations to ensure access to dignified life and quality programme delivery. Orange’s vision is a place where those who are affected by the crisis exercise their voice, build their own solutions and take ownership of their future and for civil society organizations to have sufficient capacity, competence and tools to make effective change on the ground.
Orange is hiring a consultant to lead the organization and facilitation of a 5-10 day INEE, (2) school/classroom management, (3) teaching methods, (4) problem solving, (5) communication skills, (6) leadership skills (7) supervision skills (8) Gender-based violence awareness raising (9) personal hygiene promotion (10) First Aid training of trainers ( TOT) in Gaziantep, Turkey. The main objective of the TOT is to develop capacities for education response. The workshop will target Orange field trainers as well as other partner organisations. This training will help to address the challenge of improving the quality of education for children and youth in Syria. As a TOT, this workshop also endeavours to provide participants with the skills and knowledge needed to organize and deliver similar workshops in their home settings or in location where they work in the future.
The consultant will work in close collaboration with Orange Education Programme Manager to prepare for, facilitate, and report on this workshop.
Key activities:
- Prepare training materials for a 5-10-day (1) INEE Minimum Standards, (2) school/classroom management, (3) teaching methods, (4) problem solving, (5) communication skills, (6) leadership skills (7) supervision skills (8) Gender-based violence awareness raising (9) personal hygiene promotion (10) First Aid, TOT including using and adapting the EiE harmonized training package available at www.ineesite.org/training.
- Key pre-workshop reading materials should be shared with participants 7-10 days before the workshop.
- Prepare training materials for trainers who are attending the training to deliver it inside Syria.
- Act as lead facilitator during the 5-10 day training workshop.
- Write a workshop report (5-10 pages) indicating the performance of the training participants, challenges and lesson learned.
- Conduct any follow up required from the participants outlining how they might further enhance the quality of education processes
Deliverables:
The following outputs will be submitted to Orange Education Programme Manager
· workshop package—PPTs, facilitators guide, handouts, as well as pre-reading materials—ready for sharing with workshop participants.
· Workshop summary report (5-10 pages)
· Follow up on participants feedback and quieries
The workshops will take place during the end of August and early September, 2017. The consultant must be available to conduct the visit during that timeframe. Travel and accommodation to Orange premises will be reimbursed by Orange.

The deliverables for this TOR should be completed by 15 December at the latest.
