About POINT
POINT is an INGO established in 2014 as initiative and registered in Turkey in 2015 and then in Jordan & Iraq in 2017. It was founded by a group of Humanitarian experts who have started working in MENA humanitarian crises and capacity building.
POINT provides organizational support to bridge the gaps through tailored capacity building programs and mentoring across thematic areas of interest as determined by local organizations and in accordance with the focus of their activities. Through the empowerment of the organizational and individual capacity of civil society and communities we help local actors not only have authorship over their works but also full ownership over their projects which guarantees the appropriateness and sustainability of interventions. In addition, we support INGOs responding to crises achieve their strategic objectives without the need of out-sourcing international experts for complex programs delivery because of the availability of local expertise. We complement the capabilities of local organizations and supplement their own organizational capacities which makes international programs cost-effective, efficient and sustainable.
General Summary: The Capacity Building Officer will work with the capacity building Program Manager to manage all aspects of design and implementation for POINT capacity building projects including follow-on activities, and logistics.
Specific Responsibilities:
· Support the direct manager in coordinate capacity building projects in all areas
· Contributing to the design of capacity building tools and actions
· Work with the Program Manager in developing the agenda and content for regional networking events and capacity building events, and bringing in external training support or expertise where needed
· Build relevant relationships with stakeholders where projects are implemented
· Taking the lead in implementing the capacity bundling projects, day-to-day follow-up and reporting
· Coordinate with other POINT programs to insert their training workshops in the general training calendar
· Support areas team in implementing the projects by skype call, WhatsApp and emails, and work closely with them to mitigate the risks of projects
· Support the direct manager by analyze received proposal opportunities and support in preparing the proposals
· Prepare ToR for each training and trainer.
· Make invitation for new training workshops.
· Prepare training comprehensive reports including MEAL sections by coordinating with MEAL for each project per roles and responsibilities.
· Arrange and facilitate events including, pre-training orientations and debriefing meetings with organizations and their participants.
· Ensure all training, follow-up and networking activity logistics, travel, and financial arrangements are made.
· Debrief with training team at the end of each training day to review daily evaluation and methods to develop the given workshop.
· Develop capacity building projects annual calendar.
· Support the program manager in developing media plan for the program projects and coordinate with media & communication department to share it
· Set-up the information and data management system for all training and archiving system
· Archive all training hardcopy and softcopy files with the training materials, plan, case-studies and raw data
· Coordinate with the logistics department to support the projects.
· Perform tasks assigned by their line manager
Required experience:
3 years' experience in Humanitarian work.
1year experience in capacity building.
Previous experience in management and planning capacity building projects.

Qualification:
Good understanding of POINT's aims
BA in business management or any relevant education
Certificate in Project management (PMP or PMD) is plus
Excellent MS Excel skills
Excellent organizational and teamwork skills required
Excellent communication skills, oral as well as written
Attend ToT is plus
Excellent oral and written English and Arabic communication skills. Excellent English writing skills and Turkish language is plus
Participatory and interactive approach
Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
