About Point
POINT was established by a group of humanitarian workers and its headquarter is in Gaziantep, Turkey. As an organic non-governmental organization, the co-founders of PONT realized the crucial capacity gaps and needs for the civil society and communities to play a greater role in improving the response to the humanitarian crisis and better contribute to the stabilization of their conflict-affected country. POINT provides capacity development to the local civil society and communities actors as well as local staff in INGOs. This is in order to strengthen their voice, increase their impact and bring about the development of diverse, inclusive and independent civil society and communities.
About Position
POINT is establishing new program to empower youth in Turkey and Syria, the Program will provide higher education by online classes in partnership with British organizations working in Higher education. The Program will lead by POINT headquarter office in Gaziantep – Turkey and Project Manager should working closely with staff in headquarter to establish the program.
The Program will provide 2 levels (Level 3 & Level 5) for youth in Syria and Turkey.
Level 3 that can be high school certificate for the youth and Level 5 that can be HND Higher National Diploma for youth after the high school or Bakaloria. For each level will be 2 specialization business management and computing.
Main Tasks
Follow up the approval process with BTEC.
Review the Strategy and developing project plan to cover level 3 & level 5.
Finalizing the project policies inline with our partner regulations and requirements.
Setup marketing and communication plan for the project for the registration and fees.
Working on the list of educators and assessors to distribute the classes for educators.
Developing archiving system for the project to document all classes documents.
Prepare annual plan for English and academic classes in coordination with educators
Quality assurance for education process and classes in cooperation with MEAL department
Coordinate the efforts in our centers inside Syria, Turkey and Iraq for students registration and marketing
Working with Logistics and Finance departments to cover the project needs
Leading the student affairs system and tools.
Desk support for learning management system.
Coordinating with BTEC for external verification
Qualification & Experience
✓ At least three years work experience, with relevant tasks, in emergency contexts; good knowledge of the humanitarian aid system with a special focus on Education projects;
✓ Previous experience in remote project management;
✓ Proved strategic capacity in the identification of new opportunities and project proposals;
✓ Previous work experience in management of Education\Development projects;
✓ High interpersonal skills with a strong analytical approach in problem solving and management;
✓ Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Arabic.
✓ Turkish Nationality is a plus.
✓ Active residency permit (non-Turkish Nationality).
✓ Background knowledge of the regional context is preferable.
✓ Background of Virtual education.
