General Task:
To manage, handle and process incoming quantitative and qualitative data from the IMU field network and protect IMU vulnerable information by securing, archiving and storing data properly.
Job Description:
A.Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement data management plans.
- To design databases as per analytical requirements.
- To ensure IMU data servers/systems are operational
- To troubleshoot data submission errors and data error issues
- To supervise/manage the data entry process/enter data
- To clean of databases
- To aggregate data.
- To store and catalogue all IMU reports, databases, etc.
- To coordinate with all units and follow up on their specific needs
- To regularly back up data and maintain archiving methodologies
- To ensure data management procedures and projects have set timelines and meet established deadlines
- To test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
- To plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosure.
- To approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems, such as the installation of new databases.
- To understand and ensure privacy law and standards
- To produce weekly, monthly, annual data reports
- To develop ad-hoc reports as necessary
- To assist in defining and/or creating data listings, summary table validation, data specifications and/or process data transfers in preparation for regular review and/or data management audit
- To participate in the preparation and presentation of data, when applicable
- To assist in developing means to correct problems
- To train users and answer questions.
- To produce interactive online studies.
- To organize timelines for IMU products, reports, and ongoing work.
B.Sub Responsibilities:
- To attend Cluster meetings, present IMU products there and engage with UN cluster co-leads
- To present IMU products in professional way in English/Arabic languages in meetings
- To prepare relevant reports/perform additional tasks as required by management.
Note: the above mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.
Qualification (Education/Work Experience)
A.Essential:**
- Bachelor Degree in IT, computer science or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in information management and technical support.
- Arabic language (four skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing)
- English language (four skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing)
- Decent knowledge in the work of INGO and LNGOs
B.Desirable:
- Master degree in IT, computer science, or related field.
- 5 years of professional experience in information management and technical support.

MS Word: Organizing Word documents, Text formatting, Document layout, dealing with tables, Ability to prepare word documents with excellent formatting.
Power BI/Tableau: Decent knowledge of interactive visualization tools. Ability to produce online interactive reports and maps based on collected data.
PowerPoint: Displays familiarity in creating PowerPoint presentations
Skype/Skype for Business: Familiarity with advanced Skype options and tools, recording group video, Conducting group trainings
Internet: Gmail, Google
Humanitarian Standards: Humanitarian standards awareness
Mapping programming: QGIS, Arc GIS
Sphere Standards: Sphere standards awareness
Software programming skills
Kobo/ODK: Ability to build forms and program questionnaires on Kobo, familiarity with Basic options of Kobo, testing tools
