General Task:
To translate the ACU deliverable/products/questionnaires from one of 3 languages (Turkish – Arabic – English) into another and vice versa with high quality, punctuality and using the appropriate terminology.
Job Description:
A.Key Responsibilities:
- To translate Arabic reports to high quality English or Turkish language and vice versa.
- To translate any required documents by the management from Arabic into English or Turkish and vice versa.
- To perform interpretation during meetings/training/ workshops upon request
- To present ACU in meetings and clusters.
- To Disseminate information in close coordination with the ACU Advocacy & Communication Dept. when required.
- To prepare relevant translations as required by management.
B.Sub Responsibilities:
- To present ACU products in professional way in meetings.
- To prepare relevant reports as required by management.
Note: the above mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Another future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department organizational chart.
Qualification (Education/Work Experience)
A.Essential:
- Bachleor degree in English language, translation or any related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in translation related to the syrian context and the humanitarian terminology.
- Good command of Arabic language (four skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing)
- Good command of English language (four skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing).
- Good command of Turkish language (four skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing).
B.Desirable:
- Master degree in English language, translation or any related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in translation related to the syrian context and the humanitarian terminology.

- Good command of sphere standards.
- Good knowledge of skype & skype for business.
- Trados: using Trados to translate files, creating and modifying translation memories on Trados.
