WATAN Foundation, together with its partners is providing humanitarian assistance to people affected by the Syrian crisis, both in Syria and Turkey.
Position Summary
Managed by the Hub Manager, and working in collaboration with program and technical staff, the Awareness raising assistant will be responsible for planning and implementing community activities. as The Protection Outreach Officer will support community mobilization and targeting of beneficiaries for PO program, implementation of activities in Information Protection, training community volunteers; and providing supervision and support to community. He/she will ensure that agreed procedures are followed and accountability mechanisms are implemented to ensure high quality programming and continually improve the support to refugees provided by WATAN/WV
Reasonability
- Develop and carry out the cultural exchange sessions
- Create a safe and friendly environment for beneficiaries to interact and exchange information
- Work under supervision of Info Hub Manager and collaborate with other teams of the center
- Maintain Vehicle logs for all trips & all vehicles maintenance logs.
- Perform logistic tasks as required by Logistics Manager/Coordinator
- Report tasks and issues to management as needed
- Create database and maintain information about the suppliers, vendors and purchased items
- Perform all procurement tasks in both providing goods & services
Qualifications
- Applicant must be a university graduate
- Knowledge of accepted procurement practices and principles.
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in the logistical system.
- Past work with international donor funded programs preferred.
- High analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to solve problems in the field with suppliers.
- Excellent command of spoken and written Turkish.
- English and Arabic is a plus
- Excellent command of excel and other database applications.
- Computer/word processing and standard office software
