Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international medical and humanitarian association founded in 1971 that provides assistance to populations in distress, affected by natural or man-made disasters as well as armed conflicts. MSF is present in more than 60 countries worldwide.
MSF is urgently seeking :
ORTHOPEDIC, VASCULAR , GASTROINTESTINAL, PLASTIC & BURNS SURGEONS
for its medical operations in Gaza (M/F)
CONTEXT:
Since April 1, 2018, MSF teams in Gaza have treated and cared for almost 1500 gunshot wounds. In order to meet the needs of the increase in patient load, MSF is reinforcing their current program in Gaza. Full surgical teams are being sent by MSF in order to provide surgical care and post-operative care to men, women and children. MSF teams work in collaboration with Gazian surgical teams.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITY:
Surgeons are responsible for surgical interventions and post-operative surgical care.
DIPLOMA:
- Specializing in: general surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 years of professional experience subsequent to obtaining the speciality diploma
- Ready to work within multi-cultural, multi-discipline teams
AVAILABILITY:
- 2 weeks minimum
LANGUAGES:
- English level B2 (intermediate) required. Arabic is a plus.

Mission location: Gaza Strip
Status : Volunteer agreement with €1,134 net remuneration**.** Monthly per diem. Insurances: medical health coverage, repatriation**.**
