Basmeh and Zeitooneh was launched in September 2012 with field visits to areas with high concentrations of the most marginalized and neediest Syrian refugees the main goal of the visits is to assess the needs and to fill the gaps left by other aid agencies. The organization is officially registered NGO in Lebanon in 2014.

Basmeh & Zeitooneh has established an office in Gaziantep and has started to work in Development and Relief domain as Syrian Civil Society Organization in 2014 & officially registered in 2015.

Basmeh & Zeitooneh in Turkey is pleased to announce this job opportunity in Gaziantep, Turkey.

Report Officer will be responsible for the Turkey country office reporting system.

Job Title: Report Officer (RO)

Reports to: Country Director

Line Management Responsibilities: None

Duration of Initial Contract: Full-time/ 6 Months, with possibility for extension

Work Location: Gaziantep-TURKEY

Duties, Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Support the Country Office in the development of a reporting plan, including date and requirements template to facilitate effective program progress reporting.
  • Develop and standardize the reporting tools and data templates.
  • Provided high-quality editing and formatting for Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and final internal and external report after collecting relevant information from program and country teams (project managers, Project Coordinators).
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure that reporting requirements (frequency, quality, and timeliness) for all running activities have been planned and agreed upon.
  • Participate with the project's managers in attending all the clusters meeting and any other meeting relevant to the programs on the ground.

Education and Experience:

Professional technical experience matching the above-mentioned tasks, 3-5 years of experience in Humanitarian NGO, Previous work experience in the same field is a must.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent level of oral and written Arabic/English Language, Turkish is an Asset.
  • Proven ability to train and/or deliver technical assistance in reporting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and flexibility to learn and take on new tasks
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good knowledge of cloud & data sharing applications (Google Drive, Dropbox…).
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Team work spirit. Ability and willing to work overtime and on weekends (when necessary).
