Turkey: International Relations Expert

Conseil Santé, as part of the EDUSER Egitim consortium (also composed of Diyalog 360, Inbas and SOFRECO) has been invited by the European Union to answer to the call for proposal for the program "Improving the health status of the Syrian population Under temporary protection and related services provided by Turkish authorities".

The specific objective of this contract will be to ensure availability of and access to healthcare services in provinces with the highest proportion and/or number of Syrian people by the end of 2019.

The purposes of this contract are as follows:

  1. Training of healthcare staff (primary and secondary level healthcare professionals) on migrant health,inter-cultural communication techniques, stress management, psycho-social support and other available health services for refugees. So that the healthcare providers will be empowered in terms of coping with the pressure that the additional population is posing on the health system.
  2. Training of the bilingual patient guides that are being hired within the scope of the project and working in primary and secondary healthcare services, and increasing their capacity and strengthening the quality of the healthcare services for refugees.
  3. Training of the TRSM staff in order to contribute to the strengthening the quality of the healthcare services for refugees.

This will be a 14 months contract and the indicative starting date is set for Autumn 2018. For the purpose of this assignment, we are looking for Non-Key Experts who are going to support the Key-Experts team. In particular, we are looking for an International Relations Expert.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in International relations;

  • Professional experience with refugees or displaced populations;

  • Professional exprience in conflict areas;

  • Good command of English and excellent knowledge of Turkish (written & spoken) is essential;

  • Professional experience in EU funded or international project;

  • Professional experience in projects where the Ministry of Health of Turkey is a beneficiary/implementing body is an asset.
