General Description of Role:
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be working under the direct supervision of the M&E Coordinator, She/he will be mainly responsible of gathering data, follow up on activities and reporting.
The Main Duties and Responsibilities will include:
1- Provide assistance in monitoring and evaluation, data collection, interviews, surveys, data clarity and data delivery to the Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator.
2- Coordinate closely and on a daily basis with the Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator on all data collection, data entry and data analysis.
3- Assist in analysing and compiling data to measure the progress and impact of projects’ activities
4- Assist in preparing the weekly and monthly reports.
5- Preparing and sorting received documents and identifying forms that need to be entered.
6- Assist with data entry to Database.
7- Other Monitoring and Evaluation functions as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
• A university degree.
• Minimum of 2-year successful M&E experience in the humanitarian field.
• High knowledge of the English (writing and Speaking) language and computer skills.
• Priority will be given for whom who have knowledge in the Turkish Language.
• Willingness to travel to Syria, if need be.
The following further qualifications are an asset:
• Demonstrated understanding of and experience with policies, protocols, and procedures of international NGOs and donor agencies.
• Good understanding of key principles of international NGOs including accountability, impartiality, neutrality, independence and cooperation.
• Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills and detail orientation.
• Strong commitment to teamwork, and being flexible.
• Effective communication, motivating leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Belief in the principles of participatory approaches to relief, recovery and development.
