Job Summary
The Training Coordinator will be responsible for expanding and enhancing all capacity building and training efforts Building Markets undertakes in Turkey. The incumbent will be expected to enhance learner outcomes, monitor user engagement, and coordinate training services. The incumbent will seek to increase the engagement of businesses in training services offered by Building Markets and, as relevant, its partners, by improving material offered, implementing new techniques and strategies, and consistently broadening Building Markets’ reach to Arabic-speaking audiences. The incumbent will coordinate with content providers to ensure that training materials stay relevant and up-to-date, and is expected to incorporate qualitative and quantitative feedback that will inform improvements in training material.
Responsibilities and Duties
Enhance Learner Outcomes
- Refine and enhance training materials and content made available by Building Markets;
- Ensure training materials are relevant, up-to-date and in line with new market regulatory developments and business needs;
- Collect feedback on training materials and iterate as required test increases in user interactions;
- Stay current on global best practices related to in-person and virtual training, targeting small and medium-sized enterprises.
Enhance User Engagement
- Ensure Building Markets is creating value for businesses in its network by monitoring quantitative user engagement statistics with relevant staff and identify areas requiring further attention;
- Gather feedback to understand obstacles to user experience and deepen user engagement;
- Rapidly prototype methods to encourage trainee engagement and accelerate certification.
Coordinate Training Services
- Regularly monitor training platform to ensure consistency in user experience and address administrator-level bugs;
- Coordinate with trainees to deliver mentorship services;
- Provide Arabic-language proofreading for training-related communications and events;
- Assist the Country Office with other related tasks as required.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Education, Business Administration, International Development, or related field
- Fluent in Arabic (written and spoken)
- Fluent in English and Turkish (spoken)
- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or training delivery
- Experience coordinating with Syrian stakeholders in Turkey
- Familiarity with Turkish operating environment
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and quality
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with small businesses in Turkey or in a similar context
- Experience working with online e-learning platforms
- Experience conducting quality assurance of training materials
- Experience conducting in-person advisory and training
