Position Summary:
The Prosthetic & orthotic Trainer will be responsible to increase the capacity of RI partners in relation to P&O services (assessment of needs, prescription, manufacturing and delivery of quality devices) through continuous technical support.
As well, to support RI through the procurement of P&O items and suppliers’ validation. To support RI in developing SOPs and monitoring the quality of supplied devices as requested.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
· Review the final procurement list of P&O items for RI partners including the consumable materials.
· Participate in the selection process and technical validation of suppliers through clear and specific criteria.
· Provide technical support to RI partners on conducting proper technical assessment and determination of needs, and prescription of P&O devices.
· Provide technical support to RI partners on the production of P&O devices to meet international quality standards within humanitarian context.
· Upon request, participate in developing polices, standard operational procedures and technical tools for P&O services.
· Upon request, participate in case management meetings with RI partners and provide the necessary support and recommendations.
· Upon request, participate in the monitoring and evaluation process to ensure the delivery of quality P&O devices to beneficiaries.
· Upon request, participate in the validation process of discharging the beneficiaries who received P&O devices to meet international standards.
· Upon request, participate in lesson learned activities and provide the necessary feedback to improve the program’s quality.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Prosthesis & Orthotics Degree. CAT 1 qualification is preferable.
· More than 10 years practical and theoretical skills in P&O.
· Good experience in Turkish market in terms P&O products.
· Practical skills in providing trainings for P&O technicians.
· Experience with the application of ISPO guidelines.
· Excellent spoken and written Arabic is mandatory. English is a plus.
· Demonstrated appropriate diplomacy skills.
